Our under-9 section is a thriving group of around 20 boys and girls mainly aged 8 and 9* who are developing their cricket skills through 'Kwik Cricket' (soft balls and plastic bats; no need for specialist kit).

We train from April through into August on Monday early evenings, usually at the club's main Station Road ground in the centre of Corsham or, when that's unavailable, at Leafy Lane or The Corsham School.

We also enter teams to Sunday morning Kwik Cricket festivals throughout the summer across Wiltshire. These events are a great chance for children to put their skills to the test in a gently competitive setting and enjoy being part of a team representing their cricket club.

Under-9 sessions are led by Steven Hall. He is supported by four qualified Coach Support Workers plus a number of parent helpers. We're always keen to get more parents involved!

To be part of our under-9 section, your child needs to become a member of the club's Academy. We usually suggest trying a session (for free) before asking you to sign up. Academy membership is £60 for the year, reducing pro-rata for members joining late.

All Stars Cricket
All Stars Cricket is a nationwide initiative for 5-to-8 year-old boys and girls. Here at Corsham CC, we run All Stars sessions on Saturday mornings from 9-10am. For £40, children get eight weeks of high-quality coaching in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. They also get their own pack of cricket goodies to keep - including bat, ball, personalised T-shirt and backpack. Our drop-in Junior Section
Our Junior Section is held Thursdays at Station Road, from May to the end ot the summer term. A fun, energetic intro to cricket for 5-to-8 year old boys and girls. Turn up and play, £2 a session, no need to attend every week. Contact us first to find out timings of this session.

* In youth cricket, girls can play 'down' an age group - so our under-9s includes some girls aged 10 and 11 who are not yet ready, or only just starting, to transition to playing with a hard ball with our under-11 group. [/size]
