As usual, Good Friday morning will be the day when members are asked to help out with getting the ground ready for the summer season. As usual, amongst the tasks will be ...
• Deployment of spectator benches around the ground – to be moved from changing rooms.
• General tidy up of the patio area.
• Clean up sightscreen frameworks.
• Lower, rubdown and repaint flagpole (careful – flagpole is heavy!).
• Washing down of the sightscreen slats.
• Once the sightscreen frameworks and slats have been washed down, to install the sightscreens slats.
• Re-positioning of the sightscreens to their usual positions.
• Collection of debris (leaves; plastic bottles; stones; twigs) from around the ground – green plastic sacks available from the Clubhouse.
• Reassembly of the covers – covers and hoses are in the scorebox.
• Assembly of the perimeter netting poles used along the Pound Pill side of the ground.
• Collection of debris from inside and around the practice nets – green plastic sacks available from the Clubhouse.
• Re-securing of netting where necessary using carabina clips provided.
• Removal of weeds from carpeted area of practice nets.
• Repainting creases in the nets
• Relocation of kit to Leafy Lane – don’t forget 2 x tables!
• Take the box containing stumps etc. from the umpire's room to changing room 10 at Leafy Lane
• Clean the sightscreen frames at Leafy Lane
• Washing down of the sightscreen slats at Leafy Lane
• Once the sightscreen frameworks and slats have been washed down, to install the sightscreens slats at Leafy Lane.
• Move the scorers chairs, table, and scoreboard to changing room 10
• Repainting creases on the NTP
