After finishing top of Group C in the qualifying rounds, and victory over Burbage & ER in the dark in the quarter final, Ashur Morrison led his team to a 57 run win over Trowbridge in the final of Wiltshire Wallop held at Potterne CC in trying conditions!
Due to the weather, all matches on finals day were restricted to ten overs per team!
Ashur showed the way in the semi final against Marshfield by scoring a 22-ball century to set up the final tie against Trowbridge who defeated Chippenham in the other semi by six wickets.
Not to be outdone, the final saw Dwaine Fielding also score a ton, but in the slightly longer time of 30 balls, to set up a 57 run win.
Congratulations to Ashur's team, to win the trophy at the first attempt, but grateful thanks must go to Potterne Cricket Club who performed over and above expectations to get the final ties played.
