17-year-old CHARLEY REED hit a maiden West of England Premier League (WEPL) century for the 1st XI in yesterday's (4th August) impressive win at title chasing Thornbury.
Charley hit 16 fours and a six that took him to his century in reaching 110 in 109 balls as Corsham scored 264 all out. He shared in a 170 run second wicket partnership with Sam Collier, who hit a half-century.
Charley went on to take two stumpings during the Thornbury innings which included the wicket of Marc Lezar who top scored for Thornbury in the game, having scored a century in the Station Road encounter earlier in the season.
Corsham went on to complete an impressive victory by 19 runs against the title contenders to move up to third place in the Glos/Wilts Division of WEPL.
Charley's career at Corsham already features two notable milestones with a maiden century for the 4th XI at the age of 12, and following an impressive 1st XI debut in 2015, he was offered a place in Somerset CCC's Academy.
