Attendance at one of the forums will enable attendees to qualify for the umpiring bonus point available in league fixtures as per League Rule 28.

The Wadworth 6X Wiltshire County Cricket League, in conjunction with the Wiltshire Association of Cricket Officials, will again be holding a series of umpiring forums in 2019. Attendance at one of the forums will enable attendees to qualify for the umpiring bonus point available in league fixtures as per League Rule 28.

Please note the League Management Committee has agreed that any individual who attended either a 2017 or 2018 umpiring forum has already met the requirements of Rule 28 and will not need to be present at a forum this year. However, the Committee is advising that it would be beneficial for any person who only attended a 2018 forum to be present at a 2019 forum given the fact that last year’s seminars only covered the “New Laws” of the game. This year’s course will cover all aspects of umpiring as was the case in 2017.

Venues & Dates of the 2019 forums are as follows:
 Swindon Cricket Club - Wednesday 10th April
 Trowbridge Cricket Club - Monday 15th April
 Beversbrook Sports Facility, Calne - Thursday 18th April

Each meeting is scheduled to commence at 7.30pm. It is anticipated that the forums should be concluded by 10.00pm at the latest.

Clubs are limited to a maximum of 4 attendees. N.B. this is in total and not per forum.

There is no cost to Clubs

The forums will be taken by Nick Wheatley, Training Officer WACO.

Booking will be via the League’s web site:
 Log in as normal and near the foot of the menu select “Book Forum”
 Select the appropriate forum
 Select the person(s) who will be attending.
(The website lists all the people associated with their club for them to tick the people they wish to send. If they want to send anybody else (i.e. anybody who is new to the club), please contact David Norman so he can add them to their club members list).
