Finals day to be played at Station Road on Sunday 12th August

Thanks to match-winning performances by two of the Club's 15-year-olds, Corsham Wyverns secured their semi-final place in the Wiltshire Wallop Finals Day with an exciting quarter-final win over Shrewton.

Batting first, Shrewton were restricted to 126 all out in 17 overs thanks to a six-wicket haul by Jack Humphreys who conceded just 18 runs in his four overs.

Corsham's reply started well with Sam Collier and Martin Roberts putting on 56 for the first wicket before Collier holed out for 34. Roberts followed eight runs later but Gabriel Field and Joe King added a further 24 runs before King was caught. Field was next to go after being run out.

There then followed a mid-order collapse as four wickets fell for just four runs which included a two ball duck by big-hitting Tom Smith.

The collapse was arrested by Sam Mitchell and Corey Burgess, the latter adding 27 runs in just 10 balls to see his team home without further loss with eight balls to spare.
