Among the tasks to be completed on the day are the following ...
- Collect spectator benches from changing rooms and deploy around ground.
- Transport perimeter net poles from Clubhouse balcony to mounting points beside Bowls Green (7mtr poles) and Pound Pill road (8mtr poles) and erect.
- Collect covers and hoses from shed and affix to frames (ensuring correct orientation).
- Pressure wash the driveway to get rid of mould / moss.
- Pressure wash under the stairs.
- Clear soil and debris from practice nets. Pressure wash and brush the surface.
- Straighten bent framework of mobile net (will require a number of volunteers!)
- Cut new sightscreen slats to length and install.
- Fixture boards to be re-erected around ground.
- Clean flagpole*.
- Sand and paint the site screen frames at the clubhouse end*.
- Move the dead grass in the corner
- Dig out the mud under the trees on the driveway (to create a flower bed)
*= these tasks may be longer/slower jobs to do so, if possible, be prepared to be assisting for a good few hours.
Please bring any appropriate tools that will assist the work e.g. spade/shovel; rake; wire brush; pressure washer; sander (battery powered is ideal) and sandpaper.
All being well, bacon rolls and a hot drink will be available at 11am as a mid-morning break for all those attending and assisting with the work.
Work to start at 09.30 and finish when all tasks have been completed.
