Corsham U11s lose to Hinton Charterhouse in B&DYCL U11 Pairs Final Corsham U15s beat Hampset U15s by 87 runs in U15s Final

Hosted by Bath Cricket Club at their North Parade Ground, the B&DYCL KO Cup Finals day saw Corsham U11 Pairs play Hinton Charterhouse U11 Pairs, Keynsham U13s plays Bath U13s and Corsham U15s take on Hampset U15s.

Corsham Under 11s were first to play and were set to score 142. When Corsham's final pair of batters began their four overs they required 30 runs to win with 5 wickets in hand. At the end of the pair's first over the required runs had reduced to 23 which reduced further to 12 with 12 balls remaining.
With Matthews (19) and Saunders (9) taking 11 off the penultimate over, victory seemed certain. Saunders took a single off the first ball to take the Corsham total to 142, and Matthews stoutly defended the next two deliveries from pace bowler Carling-Lane, before taking a 2 and a single off the next two, leaving Saunders to face the last ball of the over needing to avoid dismissal to confirm victory for Corsham.
Sadly, Carling-Lane was too good for Saunders and the batter dropped to his knees as his off stump was knocked back and he realised that the wicket reduced the Corsham score by four which gave Hinton the match by one run!

In the U13s Final, Keynsham U13s were a match for Bath U13s, winning by just 3 runs in a tight finish. Bath reached 106 for 9 chasing Keynsham's 109 for 5.

Corsham U15s proved much too strong for Hampset U15s in the U15s Final. James Sullivan top-scored for Corsham with 57 with Henry Bonser adding 44 and Harry Chaplin 25* to take Corsham to a score of 158 for 5 in their 20 overs.
With all the bowlers chipping in with wickets, Hampset were restricted to 71 for 8 (Ferguson 36*) in reply, to leave Corsham as victors.

Corsham Cricket Club would like to thanks Bath Cricket Club for the use of their ground and facilities for the finals day.
